Explore diverse material designs for soles, each with unique design features and attributes. The following is a detailed introduction of some common sole materials, I hope to help you.

First, rubber sole

Rubber sole, made of natural rubber or synthetic rubber, is a polymer compound. It is known for its excellent elasticity, wear resistance, bending resistance, compression resistance and softness, and can also provide a certain shock absorption effect, so it is widely used in the field of sports shoes.

Second, EVA sole

EVA soles are made by a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate with a single foam forming technology. It has the advantages of light weight, good elasticity, good flexibility, not easy to wrinkle, and has excellent coloration, can adapt to various climatic conditions. The elasticity and plasticity of EVA soles mainly depend on the content of vinyl acetate, the higher the content, the better the elasticity of the soles.

Third, PU sole

PU sole is a kind of low temperature forming sole material. It is lightweight but sensitive to water, which may cause chemical reactions, resulting in gradual corrosion of the sole.

Four, TPR sole

TPR soles have the wear resistance of rubber and low cost, but they are easy to slip when encountering oil solvents and are generally resistant to yellowing.

Five, rubber RB sole

Rubber RB soles are divided into natural and synthetic two kinds, with good wear resistance and elasticity, but heavier weight, higher cost, suitable for high friction footwear such as basketball shoes.

Six, MD sole

MD sole, also known as PHYLON sole, commonly known as flying dragon. MD is the abbreviation of MOLDED (molding), which belongs to EVA secondary high pressure molding products. The soles are lightweight, flexible and earthquake-resistant, and their hardness can be controlled by foaming temperature. MD sole has good softness, high elasticity and strong warmth retention, but relatively poor wear resistance, and is usually used for high-top shoes.

By understanding the characteristics of these sole materials, we can better choose the appropriate sole materials according to the needs to meet the functional and design requirements of different shoes.
